Newly renovated beautiful bungalow on 4 acre working tea estate. The house is situated on top of a small hill, reached by a small driveway with magnificent views towards Ambuluwawa. There are all sorts of fruit trees on the property. It is fully furnished and has 5 air conditioned bedrooms each with own bathroom and hot water. The main room is extremely large and has a veranda to one side. We have retained the original Sri Lankan kitchen and local meals can be arranged on request. Also, there are western kitchen appliances, fridge, freezer, gas hob, kettle, toaster washing machine etc. There is a telephone in the house.

Kandy (13Km): Temple of the Tooth, Peredeniya botanical gardens

Nuwaraeliya (LIttle England): Tea estates, gardens and beautiful hillside town.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (About 1 hours drive)

Ideal for day trips to Dambulla, Sigiriya and other historical sites 

The local town of Gampola is 5mins by car and it has a verity of shops and all food items can be bought here. The Buddhist monument of Amduluwawa is a short drive away. Plenty of bird watching and walks around the villa

Price and additional information

Season 1 :£250 per week

Season 2: £300 per week

Included in the price is water, electricity, bottled gas, bed sheets and towels and there are 2 live-in staff. A car with driver can be arranged to pick up from airport and can be hired per day/week. The local bus passes the bottom of the drive. The rates are based on 8-10 people and can be negotiable if fewer people stay. Meals are payable locally as is laundry service and telephone. During Kandy Perehera ( usually 1st 2 weeks in August ) rates will be higher.
